Reflection Fall semester 2025
Master Collaborative Spatial Development HSLU Lucerne
looking forward to a new cross-semester reflection weekend again this year.

Together with Ko:Lab students from the first and third semesters, we will address the question of how collaborative working methods and procedures can be successful in studies and in practice. The third semester will present its initial findings in the form of keynote speeches at the “Collaborate!” conference, while the first semester will showcase its interpretation of this year’s practical project “Inter-landscapes: Associating – Perspective – Decoding” in a gallery walk, opening up its transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches for discussion.
In between, there will be shared meals, discussions, and reflection—a productive weekend together that opens up space for exchange and new perspectives.
Part of this will my performative lecture on the topic of “Space & Action,” based on his book of the same name (transcript, 2023: https://lnkd.in/eSpUxxWM). In it, I show how global migration, climate change, and crises challenge classical spatial and urban planning, causing regions and cities to increasingly appear as heterogeneous, situational structures. My spatial theory of the urban emphasizes the importance of constructive action with uncertainty in the interaction between human and non-human actors.
A big thank you to the Ko:Lab team—Tabea Michaelis, Amelie Mayer, Leona Lynen, Fidelia Gartner, Nathalie Peeters, and Sarah Bühler for making this happen! We are ooking forward to an intensive and inspiring weekend full of (un)learning and (re)learning—and to thinking together about how a new planning culture can be shaped today and in the future.
