The “working concerts” of this “musican, composer and conceptualist”, who is considers to be “the leading vibraphonist of his generation” by Reclam’s jazz lexicon are exactly that: “works” or maybe rather “concerts in progress”, which the viewers attends like a Reality-Performance, from the set-up to the seating, from the first meeting of the musicians via sound check and rehearsal to the performance. Since Berliner Dell enjoys his fabulous reputation internationally, every concerts becomes an event. Flying visits or punctual appearances at the beginning of the actual concert reduce the experience, but are allowed.
